Albiol wishes Mourinho well

Real Madrid defender Raul Albiol has wished new Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho well at Stamford Bridge.

The Spanish international was speaking at a charity event in Valencia in aid of Multiple Sclerosis and was asked his opinion on the Portuguese’s departure from the Santiago Bernabeu.

“I’m glad for him. It’s a decision he has taken and it will be good for both parties. I appreciate the work he has done for us over the last three years and wish him all the best in London, because it’s a small world,” said Albiol, who also commented on Mourinho’s declaration the only two clubs in his heart are Inter and Chelsea.

“Each person can say where they have felt the most loved or what is nearest to their heart.  Mou had a golden age at both Inter and Chelsea.

“There they loved him a lot and he’s going back to a place he feels comfortable, so you have to wish him luck. For my part, I never had a problem with him and learned a lot of positive things,” he added.

Speaking of his own situation with Los Blancos, Albiol insisted he is relaxed about things despite a new man taking the reins.

“Right now I haven’t made any decision on my future as I’m happy at Real Madrid and the club have not told me they don’t want me.

“But anything can happen in football. A new Coach comes in and there is lots of movement of players, but I’m relaxed.
