The official website of the Premier League overnight posted a news story dated for Monday confirming Jose Mourinho as the new Chelsea manager.
It is generally expected that the departing Real Madrid Coach will make a return this summer to Stamford Bridge.
However, before confirmation from the club has arrived, the Premier League’s own website posted a news story titled ‘Mourinho returns as manager of Chelsea’.
This came just hours after Mourinho’s final game in charge of Madrid, a 4-2 win on Saturday against Osasuna.
The posting was soon taken down, and had appeared to have been published in error, with no length to his contract specified and the story time stamped for Monday June 3.
