Barcelona and Victor Valdes have both confirmed that the goalkeeper will appear before the media on Friday morning.
The 31-year-old will make his first official appearance in front of the Press since Barca confirmed several months ago that his intention is to not renew his contract beyond its June 2014 expiry.
Speculation in recent weeks has been that Valdes is now pushing for a transfer this summer, rather than waiting a year to leave the Camp Nou on a free in 2014.
Statements released from both the club and the player on Thursday morning have confirmed that he will now speak to the media on Friday morning, 10am UK time.
“Tomorrow at 11am [local time] I have decided that I will appear before the media in the Press room at the Camp Nou. Greetings to all,” Valdes posted on his official Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Monaco are rumoured to be interested in the player, although their sporting director intimated this week that reports of a move in the pipeline are not as advanced as believed.
