Jese eager for Madrid stay

Jese Rodriguez is reportedly keen to stay at Real Madrid next season and fight for a first team spot.

President Florentino Perez commented this week that Zinedine Zidane, who will be handling transfer strategy this summer alongside the club’s next Coach, is a fan of Jese’s and believes he may be ready for promotion to the first team.

The Castilla striker reportedly believes the same and is seen as keen to turn down any offers from other clubs to spend 2013-14 out on loan in an attempt to earn a first-team slot at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Carlo Ancelotti is expected to come in as the club’s new Coach, if he can arrange a separation from Paris Saint-Germain, and it is believed that any final decision on Jese’s future will lie with him.

Midway through this season, Jese complained publicly about a lack of first team opportunities at the Santiago Bernabeu.
