Milan have reportedly informed Barcelona that they will not be taking up their option to sign Bojan Krkic permanently this summer.
The 22-year-old has just come to the end of a second season on loan in Serie A and was thought to be the subject of negotiations between Barca and the Rossoneri, who last summer had taken up the terms of an agreement originally reached in 2011 with Roma.
However, on from reportedly pushing for a €10m reduction in the previously agreed €15m purchase option they had, Milan have apparently told Barcelona that they will not be signing the player this summer.
According to Sky Sport 24, Vice-President Adriano Galliani informed Barca President Sandro Rosell of the Italians’ decision on Tuesday.
