Sergio Aguero has dismissed links with Real Madrid as ‘just rumours’, insisting that he is happy at Manchester City.
Speculation in recent months has been that the Argentine international was keen to make a return to La Liga after two years in the Premier League and to sign for former side Atletico Madrid’s rivals Real Madrid.
However, he has indicated otherwise to reporters today.
“I'm happy to be part of a club that is growing so fast,” Aguero told Goal.com this week.
“I'm very happy to be at Manchester, it's been two years now but hopefully we are going to do bigger things in the next few years.
“Reports of leaving for Madrid? No, those were just rumours. I'm committed to Manchester City, it's a great club.”
The forward was asked of the prospect of working with Manuel Pellegrini next year.
“There's various rumours about it but we are going on holiday now. When we get back, whoever is the manager, we will be behind him and the club.”
