AS believe that Barcelona will pay Santos as much as €32m for Neymar, and a further €40m to the player and his father as a signing on bonus.
Barcelona confirmed over the weekend that they had agreed a deal for the transfer of the 21-year-old star for this summer, although a fee was not specified.
However, it is believed that they may have paid as much as €72m to secure his signature, with €32m as a transfer fee going to Santos to then be split with the two investment funds that also part-owned the player
Then a further €40m is apparently due to the player and his father as a signing on fee. The duo have already received €10m as part of a pre-contract agreement signed last summer.
Reportedly, Real Madrid’s late interest forced Barca to spend more than planned, with Los Blancos apparently willing to pay Santos €30m, Neymar and his father €60m and the Catalans themselves as much as €50m to cater for the pre-contract agreement.
