Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has expressed his hope that Real Madrid target Carlo Ancelotti stays at the club.
The Italian tactician has confirmed his desire to quit PSG this summer amid continued reported interest from Los Blancos as they look to replace the outgoing Jose Mourinho.
Verratti, who signed for PSG just last year, has been linked with Madrid too, as a specific request made by Ancelotti.
However, the 20-year-old is hopeful that his Coach stays in Paris for next season.
“As Ancelotti is currently the Coach of PSG, there is obviously the chance that he may remain,” Verratti reflected to Sky Sport Italia today.
“But if he does leave then it will be a heavy loss, both for myself and for my teammates here at this club.
“There are no other Coaches like Ancelotti around.
“I’ve had very few Coaches, but, according to some of my colleagues who have had more, they say they’ve never had a tactician like him.
“He is someone who gives you peace of mind and he knows how to manage great players.
“As well as being a great Coach, he’s also a great guy.”
