City or Madrid for Navas

Jesus Navas reportedly has the possible choice this summer of leaving Sevilla for Manchester City or Real Madrid.

The winger is seen as one of the likely candidates Sevilla will sell this summer as they look to ease pressure from a €50m debt that has built up in recent seasons.

Estadio Deportivo believe that there are two options being worked on at the moment, with officials at the club in conversation with both City and Madrid.

It is believed that City’s sporting director Txiki Begiristain has already spoken with the player over a possible move out to Eastlands, where Navas has expressed an interest in playing should Manuel Pellegrini take over as expected.

Even so, it is understood that the 27-year-old’s preference would be to stay in Spain and move north to the Santiago Bernabeu, where he would remain closer to home and also reunite with friend and former Sevilla colleague Sergio Ramos.

Madrid are seen as the only feasible alternative to City’s interest, but Los Blancos reportedly will only make a move if they sell Angel di Maria.
