Barcelona are reportedly preparing to make a move for centre-back Marquinhos this summer, amid Roma’s struggles to sign him to a new deal.
The 18-year-old has previously been linked through the season with a possible switch out the Camp Nou, having impressed in his debut campaign in Serie A.
Whilst reports indicated that the Giallorossi had moved to reach a preliminary agreement to improve his current contract, both the club and his agent came out to deny this.
Mundo Deportivo believe that Barca’s unlikely chances of picking up the likes of Thiago Silva and Vincent Kompany have them returning to Marquinhos amid this situation, in an attempt to strike a deal for the €25m-rated youngster.
