‘Spain-Brazil would be unique’

Andres Iniesta and Alexandre Pato exchanged compliments and the hope of meeting each other in the Confederations Cup Final.

The duo attended a Google + hangout this week and discussed a number of topics, including the possibility of Spain and Brazil meeting in this summer’s Confederations Cup Final.

“For any player, to face Brazil at the Maracana is a unique, magic experience,” Iniesta reflected.

“It’ll be great and something special to face Pato, Neymar and the rest of the Brazilians.”

“It’d be an exciting final, which everyone would want to see!” reciprocated Pato.

“The Brazilian game has become more physical and better organised tactically than when I left for Europe and this development will help our national team.”

The duo reflected also on their previous meetings on the pitch, with Iniesta first: “Pato is a really good player – I especially remember the great goal he scored against us when he was with Milan.”

“Playing against Iniesta is a pleasure,” countered former Milan man Pato.

“He is a magnificent player and a great champion. Barca are always very strong and I wish them many titles.”
