PSG: Madrid want Ancelotti

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Real Madrid recently enquired after their Coach Carlo Ancelotti, but that they were turned away.

The Italian is strongly linked with leaving PSG in the summer and making the move across to the Santiago Bernabeu, where Jose Mourinho is expected to leave.

The Parisians’ President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has today confirmed that Los Blancos’ Jose Angel Sanchez did recently ask after Ancelotti’s availability.

The general manager of Real Madrid contacted me a few days ago,” Al-Khelaifi told L’Equipe.

“But I made it clear that Carlo still had a year left to go on his deal, and we want that to be respected.

“Of course, we are not the size of Real Madrid, but that does not mean we do not deserve respect.

“Everyone here loves Ancelotti, and I am very optimistic that he will stay.

“If he went, it would be a problem for us.”

Ancelotti is still non-committal on his future at the Parc des Princes.
