Falcao spotted in Monaco?

A couple of Monaco youth players have today claimed that Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao is at their club this evening finalising a transfer.

Rumours emerged over the weekend that the Principality outfit, owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, had reached an agreement with Atleti and their Colombian striker to pay his €60m buyout clause and take him to the Stade Louis II on a €10m annual salary.

Youth team player Axel Prohouly took to his believed official Twitter account on Monday evening to claim that “Falcao is in Monaco.”

Whilst he quickly deleted the message, it was followed by a further indication of the news: “I have not seen Falcao with my own eyes, but my teammates claim to have seen him. Just saying.”

Prohouly’s teammate Zepeek shortly followed that with: “Falcao is currently at le Rocher [the Rock, another name for Monaco].”

Speculation in Spain is that Falcao’s deal to join Monaco includes a clause to allow him to join Real Madrid from next January, should Los Merengues come in with an offer.
