Gregorio Manzano has insisted that his Mallorca team leave Bilbao with their 'heads held high' despite losing to Athletic.
The Islanders wnt down 2-1 to Marcelo Bielsa's men after Aritz Aduriz and Fernando Llorente's goals gave the Basque side all three points.
But the Coach has claimed that his side can be proud of their efforts after going down to 10 men early on.
“We are sad but we leave with our heads held high,” he told a Press conference. “The sending off was unfair and we had to manage that psychologically.
“The players have been complaining about the referee.
“We know that these things are complicated, but my boys are crestfallen and angered by the circumstances of the game.”
