Jose Mourinho's proposed move to Chelsea may not be a foregone conclusion, according to reports in the British Press.
The Sun have claimed that the Premier League club's owner Roman Abramovich is desperate to re-sign the Real Madrid boss, but does not want to pay any compensation for the tactician.
It is believed that any team wanting to sign Mourinho would have to pay €20m to Los Blancos, and the tabloid has revealed that the Russian billionaire is unwilling to part with that much cash.
Of course, that would be null and void should the 50-year-old Coach get the sack from the capital club – but it is unclear whether the hierarchy at Santiago Bernabeu would consider that option, bearing in mind the lack of compensation.
