Manchester City’s sporting director Txiki Begiristain is reportedly so advanced in talks with Malaga Manuel Pellegrini that a ‘yes’ is expected soon.
Begiristain is speculated as in talks with Pellegrini via his agent Jesus Martinez and as having held negotiations for the Chilean to take the City hotseat over the course of ‘several meetings’.
AS believe that these discussions have reached an advanced stage and that former Barcelona sporting director Begiristain, who was linked to Pellegrini during his time at the Camp Nou, expects a ‘yes’ answer from the Coach in the coming days.
The English Premier League outfit, who would then be replacing current manager Roberto Mancini, reportedly want to secure Pellegrini as soon as possible so as to begin preparation work on the City squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
Pellegrini has commented recently that he is committed to Malaga, so long as the club’s owners are committed to the Costa del Sol outfit’s project continuing in its current guise.
