Montoya future depends on Barca

Martin Montoya’s agent has revealed that the Inter and Liverpool target is happy at Barcelona and any move is down to the Catalans.

The defender, whose contract expires in June 2014, has been linked with a move out of the Camp Nou this summer in a reported bid to guarantee first-team action in a World Cup year.

Even so, his representative has hinted that a move out of Barca is by no means guaranteed.

“Right now the situation is pretty clear. The player is owned by Barcelona and has a contract with the club until 2014,” commented Jose Maria Orobitg to TuttoMercatoWeb.

“There are talks involving the two clubs. If Inter want him then they must agree things with Barcelona.

“As far as we are concerned, as long as Barca do not tell us that the player is for sale there will be no problems.

“He is happy in Catalonia, everything depends on Barcelona.”
