Arsenal are reported once more as in contention to sign David Villa, with a part of their summer transfer budget apparently designated for him.
The Gunners have been linked on and off with the Spain international since last summer, whilst manager Arsene Wenger seemingly confirmed in January a failed bid to land him mid-season.
AS say that, contrary to reports earlier in the week, the Premier League side are interested in renewing their interest this summer.
The club have apparently set aside a €50m budget for total transfer activity and are seen as readying a bid of between €12m and €15m.
It is also reported that the club may have a pre-contract arrangement in place, agreed during January’s unsuccessful negotiations.
