PSG, United fight for Ronaldo

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly both preparing huge offers to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid in the summer.

Ronaldo has continually been linked with a summer exit from Madrid since early September’s admission to media that he was ‘sad’ at the club.

Whilst this has since been followed up with the player’s reflection that he intends to see out his contract until June 2015, speculation is that he does not want to sign a renewal that the club are preparing and rumours persist that other parties will come in with bids.

Specifically, The Sun believe that both former club United and PSG will come in with offers this summer for the 28-year-old.

United, who sold Ronaldo to Madrid in 2009 for a world record €94m, are apparently prepared to front up €77m plus include a player – thought to be Luis Nani – in an attempt to take him back.

Meanwhile, PSG are seen as able to spend as much as €94m to enter into negotiations.

Ronaldo’s sponsors Nike will reportedly offer incentives for the player to move back to United, whilst the newly-crowned English League champions are readying a contract offer of €300,000 a week to put him alongside top earner Wayne Rooney.
