Ramos: Madrid want revenge

Sergio Ramos has declared that Real Madrid are keen to avenge Borussia Dortmund for the first leg Champions League semi-final defeat.

Los Merengues host the Germans in the second leg this Tuesday evening looking to turn around a 4-1 deficit for a place in the final.

“We are eager for revenge after the result in Dortmund. We have negative thoughts from the first leg and we want to play [well] tomorrow,” enthused Ramos to reporters today.

“We are playing for our life and the fans will get the game going from the first minute. Mentally the team is confident that they can overcome the tie.

“Everything matters and everything is important, but in the end what matters is the football and talking on the pitch.

“Playing at home is a bonus because the fans will be with us to the death. We are going to have wings.

“We can achieve the comeback. In football anything can happen.

“What is clear is that we must all leave everything on the field. We have to stay focused. Borussia are a great team. We have to play as we know. Intensity and aggressiveness is key. The tie is complicated but we will give our all.”
