Kondogbia: Madrid my dream

Geoffrey Kondogbia is being quoted today as declaring that a possible move to Real Madrid would be a dream come true.

The Sevilla midfielder has been linked with a number of sides for a summer transfer, including Juventus, Inter and Milan in Italy.

However, should he leave the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan come July, he seemingly harbours hopes of remaining in La Liga.

“A preference? Real Madrid has been my dream since I was a little kid…” Kondogbia told Telefoot this week.

“It’s always a pleasure to see them following you and asking after you.

“At Real Madrid? It would realise my dream…but it’s just a rumour right now.

“With this team I can play in the Champions League.”

Reports in England today have it that Arsenal are preparing a £17m bid for the 20-year-old Frenchman. Arsene Wenger was reluctant to discuss Kondogbia to reporters this weekend: “I don’t really want to talk about Kondogbia too much because everyone’s after him at the moment.

“When you ask ‘Are you also interested?’ what do you expect me to say?”
