Santa Cruz talking with Malaga

Roque Santa Cruz has revealed that his agents are talking with Malaga over a permanent deal in the summer, although Botafogo represent competition.

The Paraguayan international, who has spent this season on loan at La Rosaleda, is a free agent in the summer when his Manchester City contract comes to an end.

Confirming that he will certainly be leaving the English side, the striker also confirmed that reports linking him to Botafogo are not wide of the mark.

“The interest does exist and I'm aware of it,” Santa Cruz commented on Paraguayan outlet Radio La Nueva rgs this week.

“My agents are analysing this possibility that has appeared and there are some talks.

“It's a very big club, I'm flattered by their interest. It's always important to be wanted by a club of such size.

“I am also having conversations with Malaga, but I am not going to renew my contract with Manchester City. I'll be a free agent.”
