Malaga set up Chelsea link?

Relations between Malaga and Chelsea are believed strong enough that Manuel Pellegrini could have first option on a number of the Londoners’ youngsters.

Marca report that Malaga sporting director Mario Husillos has managed to develop a close working relationship with the Premier League side, on from negotiating the January loan deal that saw Lucas Piazon move to the Costa del Sol for six months.

The young Brazilian’s development in the second half of this season reportedly has Chelsea ready to allow Pellegrini and Husillos to come in with offers in the summer for players they may be interested in.

Due predominantly to Malaga’s budget, this is understood to centre on players available at low cost or on loan, rather than first-team names.

The open relationship between the two clubs is seen as reliant on Pellegrini and Husillos staying at Malaga and likely to be slightly affected too by who may come in as Chelsea boss in the summer.
