‘It won’t be easy, but…’

Sergio Ramos has reflected on the task facing Real Madrid in next week’s Champions League semi-final against Borussia Dortmund.

The Germans will go into next Tuesday’s tie at the Santiago Bernabeu with a 4-1 lead to protect thanks to yesterday’s one-sided affair at the Signal Iduna Park.

“Of course, it's a really bad result, especially because we face another tough match against them in the second leg,” lamented Ramos to reporters afterwards.

“To overhaul a deficit like this against a German side isn't going to be easy, but 90 minutes at the Bernabeu is a long time for any opponent and obviously we want to use that time to score three goals.

“We'll create more chances in the return leg than we did here and we'll just have to try our luck.

“With our fans behind us we can still reach the final. Once you get to the semis, you want to get to the final.”
