Espanyol are reportedly in the front seat to pick up Deportivo’s striker Riki at the end of the season on a free transfer.
Depor did report that in November they were intending to sign the 32-year-old to a new deal, but with those talks seemingly yet to materialise into a deal, speculation is that the veteran will be leaving in the summer.
In light of his performances this term, which have yielded 12 League goals to date, a number of clubs including Real Zaragoza and Wigan are said to be following.
However, it is Espanyol that reportedly have an advantage, having tabled the offer of a two-year contract to the player they are understood to have scouted throughout the season.
Depor are unlikely to match any financial offer put to Riki in light of their continued issues in administration.
