Madrid have Diego Lopez doubt

Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez is set for a fitness test today to determine his availability for Wednesday’s game with Borussia Dortmund.

Jose Mourinho has named a 23-man squad to head out to Germany for this midweek’s Champions League semi-final first leg and Lopez has been included.

However, Marca have it that the 31-year-old, who is keeping Iker Casillas out of the team, will only be confirmed fit for involvement after a fitness test on Tuesday.

Lopez has gone through training this week complaining of sore ribs following a collision during Madrid’s weekend League win over Real Betis.

Should he be ruled unfit, which Mourinho has reportedly been told to anticipate, Casillas is seen as in line to make his first-team return after three months away.

Meanwhile, Marcelo has not made the cut after picking up a thigh injury at the weekend, but Luka Modric is included on from a groin strain also sustained in Week 32.

Real Madrid squad to face Borussia Dortmund: Casillas, Diego Lopez, Adan, Jesus, Varane, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Coentrao, Albiol, Carvalho, Nacho, Xabi Alonso, Khedira, Ozil, Kaka, Modric, Callejon, Di Maria, Casemiro, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Higuain, Morata
