Marca are today reiterating that Deportivo will hand Coach Fernando Vazquez a new contract if he keeps the club in La Liga or not.
Depor’s third Coach of the season has recently masterminded a four-game winning streak for the Galicians to lift them from seven points adrift of safety in 20th position to two points above the relegation zone in 16th.
Vazquez has an automatic one-year renewal clause in place should the club achieve League survival, but it is again reported today that Depor will hand him that extra year even if they are relegated.
Any decision is subject to approval from the club’s administrators, but Marca believe that they do not object to the financial aspects of the deal.
