‘Ronaldo? Many aspire to PSG’

Leonardo has responded to questions over a possible move for Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo by commenting that ‘many players aspire to PSG’.

Paris Saint-Germain have been one of a select number of clubs linked on and off this season with a move for the reportedly unsettled Portuguese forward.

“Many players aspire to PSG as much as to Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern or Milan, but if we bought everyone then it wouldn’t make sense,” reflected PSG’s sporting director Leonardo to Gazzetta dello Sport on the speculation.

“For Cristiano Ronaldo there has never been an offer.

“I have not heard anything of Rooney or Cavani either. I do not exclude great deals, but only if there is an opportunity.”

The Brazilian also reiterated the French club’s stance on Coach Carlo Ancelotti.

“Including us, there are only four or five teams that can afford Ancelotti. Of course there is always the risk of giving into temptation.

“But I believe that all will be well and that we will build the future around him.”
