Gregorio Manzano reflected on the task Mallorca faced in defeating Celta Vigo on Monday evening, but was jubilant for the last-gasp result.
A last minute goal from Giovani dos Santos settled this relegation battle between 20th and 19th 1-0 to the home side, to see them leapfrog Celta in the table and move to a point within safety.
“Winning costs the world and, sometimes, a miracle,” resolved Manzano post-match.
“The reward came at the end. The mood of the players after the win can be seen, they are all excited and happy, but aware that the job is not done and that we will fight in the remaining seven games to avoid relegation.”
It was the first clean sheet for Mallorca in 26 games.
“You have to give importance to that date, because in that way, we have been working all week.
“If you do not concede, you have many chances to something in play, and this must be taken into account come the end of the season.”
