Pastore: PSG played great

Javier Pastore assessed that Paris Saint-Germain were great against Barcelona on Wednesday evening, but that Barca ‘always get a goal at the Camp Nou’.

Pedro Rodriguez’ strike midway through the second half was that goal to ultimately book the home side’s place in the Champions League semi-finals, but only after Pastore had given an attack-minded French the lead.

“We produced a great display. We showed that you can play well here and you can attack Barcelona,” the Argentine told reporters afterwards.

“Unfortunately they found the goal they needed to put them in the last four. Messi was their decisive player.

“Once they scored they were a different proposition. They were relaxed and playing as they like to.

“It was imperative we stopped them scoring but it seems they always get a goal at the Camp Nou.”
