Gerard Pique has admitted that the introduction of Lionel Messi was the reason Barcelona progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
And the defender has conceded that the Argentine forward, who came on after 60 minutes, changed the game.
“We are really lucky to have Leo and we have to use him,” Pique told Sky Sports. “To have Leo on the pitch is important – he is our reference.
“He helps us a lot. We are talking about the best player in the world.
“We played a good game tonight and I think we deserved to go through.
“We are really happy to qualify.”
