Maxwell: Facing Barca is special

Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell has admitted that returning to Camp Nou to face Barcelona will be 'special'.

The Brazilian full-back played for the Blaugrana for three years between 2009 and 2012, and the 31-year-old has insisted that he can't wait to play, and believes that his side can make the semi-finals.

“This is a special match for me, a chance for the whole team, but especially for me, because I have lots of friend here, I have very good memories of the titles we won,” he told a Press conference.

“This is a unique chance and we want to make the most of being here, in the quarter-finals, which is a huge success for PSG, and we want to make the most of it.

“We have to be very courageous, have the requisite personality to face Barcelona and be very patient and lucid with the ball.

“We will try to be aggressive from minute one to take them by surprise, get the ball away from our area and attack with strength.

“The first leg left us the chance to come here feeling confident. We know it's difficult against a team that enjoys so much possession, but we'll try.”
