Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin has insisted that his side will fight until the end for second place.
The Rojiblancos are currently just one point behind Real Madrid in the table, and go to Getafe this weekend looking for the three points that could take them above Los Blancos.
And the Uruguay international has claimed that his team will battle until the last game.
“We've been a regular [in the top three] and that can only be a positive thing,” he told AS. “But we will fight until the end for second place.
“It starts against Getafe, which will be a tough game. They are a rival that's fighting for Europe.
“But our goal remains clear – and that's getting into next season's Champions League.”
