Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo has admitted that he wants to finish in second place come the end of the season.
The Rojiblancos are currently third in the table, just one point behind Real Madrid.
But the club chief has insisted that his side will fight until the very last minute.
“There are still games left,” he told a Press conference. “But each of them will be complicated.
“All the teams play well and have some great players. But we want to finish in second place, and we will fight for it.
“The sporting rivalry with Madrid is normal because we are teams from the same city.
“We will fight right until the end to get second.”
