Atleti discuss Arda, Yilmaz

Atletico Madrid officials have been pictured meeting with Galatasaray counterparts this week to discuss a number of topics, including Arda Turan and Burak Yilmaz.

Chief shareholder at Atleti, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, has been pictured by El Diario AMK meeting with Galatasaray Vice-President Ali Durust and director Ali Gursoy in a Madrid hotel.

Reportedly, the trio took the opportunity of Gala’s visit to the capital to face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals to address points of business.

Primarily these are understood to focus on Arda Turan and Burak Yilmaz. Atleti still owe money to the Turks for their August 2011 €12m purchase of Turan, whilst it is seen that Yilmaz may be a target for the capital club, if Radamel Falcao leaves in the coming summer.

Gil Marin, who also reportedly met with Galatasaray officials in August to explain the overdue payments on Turan, is understood to have again reassured Durust and Gursoy this week that they will be paid shortly.

Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut was also reportedly at this week’s meeting. He is allegedly still owed commission on the player’s transfer.

With regards Yilmaz, it is seen that Durust echoed President Unal Aysal’s words earlier this season, that suggested that they would be after at least 50 per cent of any fee paid for Falaco to fund any deal for Yilmaz – if Falcao were to be sold for €60m, Gala would look for €30m for Yilmaz.
