‘PSG scored from nothing’

Dani Alves complained that Paris Saint-Germain seemingly scored their two equalisers against Barcelona ‘out of nothing’.

The French twice drew level in Tuesday evening’s Champions League quarter-final first leg to end the contest with a 2-2 result.

“We have to be focused until the end, we have to keep our intensity up,” determined Alves post-match.

“They created chances out of nothing and they were capable of scoring with a little bit of luck.

“We knew that the tie wouldn’t be decided until the return leg, we’ll have our chances of going through.

“We have to be intelligent in the return leg, we have to play like we always do. We want to win.”

Barca are certainly without Javier Mascherano for the second leg and likely Lionel Messi too.

“They are two very important players, but we have to be strong enough to overcome their absences.”
