Beckham: We deserved a draw

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder David Beckham has insisted that his side deserved to draw against Barcelona.

A late Blaise Matuidi goal ensured that the Ligue 1 club managed to get a 2-2 at home with the Blaugrana.

But the English midfielder has claimed that his team were worthy of a draw.

“I think we deserved a draw tonight,” he told ITV. “We had a few good chances in the first half, but then they got their goal and it was uphill from there.

“It was always going to be a game where they had a lot of possession, but I think we deserved a draw.

“It's going to be difficult [to go through]. But there's no reason why we can't go there and get a result.”
