Carlo Ancelotti has asked his Paris Saint-Germain players to focus on their own game and not that of Barcelona tonight.
PSG host the first leg of this Champions League quarter-final clash tonight at the Parc des Princes.
“Everyone knows the difficulty of facing Barcelona, but it’s a very important game for us,” Ancelotti told reporters in anticipation of the game.
“The important thing is for us to play our game, trust our quality regardless of the opposing players. We will try to play our game.
“It’s fantastic to be able to play this match. I want my players to be pleased and content. We have to be eager and determined from the start, we know that we won’t see much of the ball.”
Ancelotti was asked how he intends to stop Lionel Messi.
“It’s difficult to stop Messi, but it will also be difficult for them to stop Ibra. Even so, we will have to be focused.
“We are a competitive team. We’re doing great work and the team will be competitive against Barcelona.”
It was alleged in France that Jose Mourinho had provided Ancelotti with a video highlighting Barca’s weaknesses.
“I have already answered this. I have not seen these videos. If Mourinho would give me the information, I am here to listen, but that information has not arrived.”
