Wenger: Barca not invincible

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has declared that Paris Saint-Germain have more than a fighting chance against Barcelona in the Champions League.

The French play the first leg of their quarter-final tie with La Blaugrana this Tuesday evening and compatriot Wenger believes they can give Barca cause for concern.

“If Celtic and Milan have won against Barcelona then everything is possible for a team like Paris Saint-Germain. And Barcelona are not invincible,” Wenger wrote in his column for Eurosport.

“It is clear that Barca have the best technical quality. But they have also lost something along the way.

“They are now vulnerable at the back and I know that PSG have enough offensive potential to exploit this vulnerability that, for example, did not exist in seasons before.

“They must avoid Messi as much as possible because the Argentine is involved in around 60-70 per cent of Barcelona’s goals.”
