Blaise Matuidi has underlined that Paris Saint-Germain are the underdogs against Barcelona, but that they will attempt to defeat the Spanish.
PSG play host on Tuesday evening for the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Barca, with their midfielder more than aware of the role the French have in the tie.
“Make no mistake, we are not favourites,” Matuidi told L’Equipe today.
“If we beat them it will be a feat. But we will do everything possible.
“We have already fulfilled our objective [by reaching the quarter-finals], but the team wants more.
“It will be a great show with the entire crowd behind us to help us beat them. It is important to have a good result at home, because over there it will be very difficult.”
