Pedro out for 10 days

Pedro Rodriguez has been ruled out of action for up to 10 days, after returning to Barcelona injured from international duty.

The striker, who scored Spain’s goal in their 1-0 win in France on Tuesday, came off after 75 minutes and returned to club training on Wednesday in discomfort.

Tests carried out have confirmed that the 25-year-old has sustained a small tear in his right calf muscle.

The injury, report Barcelona, will take between a week and 10 days to heal, ruling Pedro out of this weekend’s trip to Celta Vigo and potentially next weekend’s home match with Mallorca.

Pedro is already suspended for the first leg of Barcelona’s upcoming Champions League quarter-final with Paris Saint-Germain, through accumulated yellow cards.
