No Barca talks, says Hummels’ father

The father of Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has insisted that his son will not be leaving for Barcelona.

Reports in the German Press earlier this week suggested that the 24-year-old was in 'advanced' talks with the Blaugrana.

But his father has claimed that there have been no discussions with Tito Vilanova's team.

“We have never had any contact with Barcelona,” he told reporters. “Despite all the rumours.

“Any player with ambitions dreams of one day playing for Barcelona, Real Madrid or Manchester United.

“But I do not think Mats is likely to be transferred.”
