Anzhi are reportedly prepared to offer Victor Valdes a €10m-a-season contract in an attempt to sign him from Barcelona this summer.
The Russians are listed by Marca today as intent on trying to pick up the shot-stopper from the Catalans, who he has already confirmed he will not be renewing his contract with beyond its June 2014 expiry.
Anzhi, who have Samuel Eto’o in their ranks, Guus Hiddink as Coach and Roberto Carlos as sporting director, are reportedly ready to offer Valdes a €10m basic salary.
This deal will also include the possibility of a further €2m a season, based on clauses and bonuses. Anzhi are reportedly ready to offer it this year or next.
It is unclear whether Barcelona will replace Valdes this coming summer or keep hold of him for the final year of his contract and then allow him to leave on a free.
