Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels is reported today as in ‘advanced’ talks with Barcelona over joining them in the summer.
The German international centre-back has been increasingly linked with a summer switch to the Camp Nou, with Barca scouts said to have been sent to the Bundesliga this season to compile favourable reports on him.
According to Bild, Hummels is now in advanced negotiations with the Catalans, but that these will only be finalised in the summer, at the conclusion of the season.
The 24-year-old defender has been with Dortmund since a 2009 switch from Bayern Munich. His current contract runs through until June 2017.
