Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available to face Barcelona in both legs of the Champions League quarter-final with Paris Saint-Germain.
The Swede was originally facing up to the prospect of sitting out of the first leg in France, as the second in a two-game ban handed to him for his sending off in the Last 16 first leg at Valencia for a stud-high challenge.
However, upon hearing PSG’s appeal, UEFA have today permitted to halve his ban, meaning that he will now be available for both legs of the tie against his former club Barca.
PSG’s appeal is reported to have centred around a technicality in regulations, with the argument that the referee’s assertion that Ibrahimovic’s foul was after the ball was out of play was incorrect.
