Cazorla: Spain’s cycle isn’t over

Santi Cazorla has insisted it makes 'no sense' to talk about the 'end of a cycle' for Spain, after they drew with Finland on Friday.

La Roja could only claim a solitary point at home over the weekend, meaning they sit two points behind France at the top of Group I.

But the Arsenal playmaker has claimed that the squad are still as hungry as ever going into the match in Paris on Tuesday.

“It makes no sense to doubt this team,” he told reporters. “You cannot talk about that at this stage.

“This team is still hungry and wants to keep winning titles. You can't talk about the end of a cycle.

“In the last game we made mistakes, but sometimes that happens in football.

“We are aware that we have to play a great game against France. We have to improve and we have to win – there is no choice.”
