Former Barcelona forward Jeffren has claimed that he has grown as a player since leaving Camp Nou.
The 25-year-old signed for Sporting Lisbon back in 2011 after failing to impress for the Blaugrana.
And the winger has insisted that he has matured personally and professionally, whilst also commenting on the hysteria that surrounds Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal.
“On a personal level I have matured a lot,” he told AS. “I have grown as a person. Maybe I expected a few more opportunities to play, but I am focusing on the routine of training and playing.
“The change from Barca to here was radical. I went from the best in the world to a series of very skilled players in Portugal.
“People are very devoted to Ronaldo over here. They love him, but it also true that Messi has his fans as well.”
