Former Galatasaray and Real Madrid attacker Gheorghe Hagi believes that Jose Mourinho's side are favourites for the Champions League.
The 48-year-old, who represented both clubs in an illustrious career, has claimed that Los Blancos should prevail in the quarter-final clash.
“This can be Madrid's year,” he told AS. “It happens like that sometimes. There are internal problems, you're bad in the League, but then you do well in the Champions League.
“Galatasaray play a very similar game to Madrid – on the break. Both midfields are very good, and like Madrid, they are prepared to play a direct game if they have to.
“Of course, Madrid are very strong and it's going to be difficult for Galatasaray.
“But they have invested in two very important players – Drogba and Sneijder.”
