FIFA publish Pandev’s vote

FIFA have looked to contradict Goran Pandev’s support of Jose Mourinho’s claims in the Ballon d’Or voting by publishing his vote.

Pandev suggested earlier this week that he was one of the examples Mourinho had spoken of that had voted for the Portuguese Coach at this year’s Ballon d’Or awards, only for it to be recorded to someone else.

However, the game’s governing body have hit back with a statement and by publishing Pandev’s vote, which shows he opted for Vicente del Bosque, Roberto Mancini and Jurgen Klopp.

“The Football Federation of FYR Macedonia provided the vote for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2012 of their national team Coach and national team captain by sending a fax on November 9, 2012, well within the official deadline to submit votes,” read the statement on FIFA’s official website.

“The fax was signed by both the national team coach and by the national team captain. The fax also had the signature of the secretary general of the federation and the official stamp of the national association.

“The voting form was therefore correctly submitted and the votes of the FYROM national coach and captain counted for the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2012 awards.”
