Celta Vigo are provisionally without striker Iago Aspas for the next four games, as the player is suspended for his headbutt on Friday.
The Galicians’ top scorer was dismissed during the first half of his side’s eventual 3-1 defeat at Riazor to local rivals Deportivo, for headbutting opponent Carlos Marchena.
For the action, the Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee have taken the expected action of handing Aspas a four-game suspension.
Currently, this rules the relegation strugglers Celta as without their leading man in attack for games against Barcelona, Rayo Vallecano, Mallorca and Real Zaragoza.
Celta have confirmed that they will appeal the sanction.
